Laboratory and Diagnostic Testing
Dr. Foster values the importance of diagnostic testing, as it is essential to a complete patient profile before designing a treatment plan. She uses standard blood and serum tests, as well as x-rays, sonograms, bone density studies, and mammograms.

Hormone Testing
When indicated, Dr. Foster will assess hormones by a blood or saliva sample in order to rule out menopause, diabetes, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, as well as a variety of other endocrine disorders.

Neurotransmitter Testing
Measuring the brain chemicals can help Dr. Foster treat a variety of mood disorders, behavioral imbalances, and neurological conditions. These tests also allow her to balance the body's hormones with the neurotransmitters simultaneously.

Sexually Transmitted Disease Panels and Paps
Dr. Foster screens her patients for STDs and offers annual paps for her female patients.

Adrenal Stress Index
This test analyzes adrenal function by measuring salivary levels of DHEA, insulin levels and cortisol. It helps in ruling out underlying causes of fatigue, insomnia, hypoglycemia and diabetes.

When given the opportunity, Dr. Foster makes an effort to decrease the likelihood of disease. She utilizes optimal ranges when evaluating laboratory test results rather than assume a result in the normal range means the patient is healthy. Normal ranges are based on population from which the labs doing the tests receive their samples; therefore unhealthy test subjects distort normal ranges.
